A clogged sink can disrupt daily routines. Here’s how to fix it:
Method 1: Use a Plunger
- Fill the sink with enough water to cover the plunger’s cup.
- Place the plunger over the drain and push down firmly.
- Pull up sharply to create suction and dislodge the clog.
Method 2: Clean the Trap
- Place a bucket under the sink trap to catch water.
- Unscrew the trap and remove debris.
- Reattach the trap and run water to check the flow.
Method 3: Use a Drain Snake
- Insert the drain snake into the pipe.
- Rotate the handle to break up the clog.
- Pull the snake out and rinse the pipe with hot water.
Method 4: Pour Boiling Water
- Boil water and pour it slowly into the drain.
- Repeat if necessary to dissolve minor clogs.
Method 5: Baking Soda and Vinegar
- Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain.
- Add 1/2 cup vinegar and wait 15 minutes.
- Flush with hot water.
